I love these reviews. I own and have read many of the old GW books but not for a long time. It is interesting to hear your take on them. Back in the day, they were pure gold to us gamers.

Perfect stuff for movies adaptation

I remember reading an extract in White Dwarf but never bought the full book (not sure why as I was into sci fi and horror at the time). Appropriately, the next 40k book I'd read (over 16 years later) would be Ravenor.

A lot of people today never had a chance to play Man O War, but in my opinion it’s one of the greatest games GW ever made. The rulebooks are a joy to read. I’ve got everything they ever released for the game and it’s one of my most prized possessions.

I'm sure it was probably due to time reasons, but I would have loved to hear some of his thoughts on A Song of Ice and Fire: the miniatures game, I've been playing and collecting it for five years now and it's a better ranks and flanks game than warhammer ever was....

I remember some cool sensory for this game

I played one of the FIST games. I think it was the one at this time: ruclips.net/video/P0JtieJlBs8/видео.html. I remember going into a court yard and also things like dial 1 to move North. It cost about £1 per minute. I played for 10 minutes twice on our shop phone and then home phone. My parents were furious at the bill but didn't know who had been ringing the numbers. Also I think they fixed problems pretty fast. I found a technique where if I did a certain sequence of movement (e.g. Go North somewhere it would reward you. So I went North, then South then North again and repeatedly get the same reward.) They disappeared when I next logged into the game through. It was sooooo expensive to play. I didn't get very far.

I laughed out loud the first time I saw the WW2 German Kettenkrad because GW just lifted it almost completely unchanged for the 2nd edition Ork Wartrak. Utterly delightful.
